Summer Library Reading Programs

Digging for Dinos - Preschool Age

Travel back in time to imagine the age of the dinosaur. The children will imagine what it was like to visit with dinosaurs and learn the differences between meat-eating and plant-eating animals. They have the opportunity to look at some dinosaur teeth up close and work as paleontologists, by participating in a mini dinosaur dig that engages their minds and imagination.

Movie Effects Workshop - Elementary Age

Grab your popcorn and your imagination but don't sit back! In our 2020 Summer Library Reading workshop, we're going to learn first-hand how advances in science and technology make our favorite special effects possible! Children will take home a Cartoon Creator that they've made themselves. It's Einstein meets Spielberg in a class of 3...2...1...action!

Mad Science: Spooky, Not-So-Scary Show - All Ages

Journey with a Mad Scientist in our Summer 2020 Library Reading show, “Spooky, Scary Science”! Through a mixture of science & imagination the children will experience spider, witches, & floating cyclops eyeballs. As a grand finale the Mad Scientist will introduce the audience to the eerie world of Dry Ice, making bubbling potions & lots of fearsome fog. Fun awaits those who can imagine!
